Very best of luck, Eleanor. I’m older than you but have had a similar journey, culminating in a total hysterectomy last year due to stage 4 endometriosis. There are lots of complex feelings associated with this surgery and it also completely derailed a 15 year career but life is better now. Keep going, keep finding the strength, you’re helping so many people ❤️
Thank you for sharing so openly Eleanor. Really hoping there will be a positive change. Sending love, from someone who knows what you so clearly articulate too well 💛
All the very best, Eleanor. I am older than you and have luckily left endometriosis behind, but it caused havoc to my body and mental health for fourty years. I was unable to have children and everything I wanted to do, even something simple like going to the cinema... just everywhere, had to be planned in advance around "that time of the month"... Anyway, this is not about me, and I wish you every possible success in finding a solution to your pain and pain. Yes, I use the word pain twice because I know how devastating this condition is and how much it can depress us.
HOWEVER, and although I am not in the least medically qualified, let me highlight the fact that a hysterectomy can work wonders if the affected tissue has not yet expanded to other areas. (In my case, a hysterectomy was not the answer).
ALSO, I am a staunch believer in dealing with the causes of endometriosis from a cellular memory point of view. Body, mind and soul... sounds like a cliché because like all clichés, it proves to work.
I wholeheartedly RECOMMEND finding a good therapist. Different therapies work for different women, but SRT (SPIRITUAL RESPONSE THERAPY) worked wonders for my state of mind and all the black -very black- clouds brought above my sky by the endometriosis, regardless of anything else that may have been going on -or not- in my life.
Once again, here is wishing you THE VERY BEST. Love, Light and Blessings
